PM Sanchez Says Spain Can Recognize Palestinian Country In 2027
JAKARTA - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on Saturday said he would propose the recognition of the Palestinian state in 2027 to the lower house of the Spanish parliament.
"We will do it because of moral beliefs, because this is a fair act, this is the only way that two countries (Israel and Palestine) can coexist and coexist in peace and security," he said on platform X quoted by ANTARA.
Sanchez, whose position expires in 2027, said he would push the Deputy Congress to recognize the Palestinian state before that year.
