Three Additional Alutsistas Deployed To Help Search For Crashed Aircraft In Tarakan
Three additional flight defense equipment from the Air Squadron 5 Sultan Hasanuddin Makassar Air Base were deployed to assist search and rescue (SAR) operations for cargo plane victims suspected of crashing in Tarakan, North Kalimantan.
Head of the Tarakan Basarnas Office, Syahril, said the defense equipment consisted of one Boeing 737 200 REG AI-7302 unit, Caracal Heli H-225 M REG H-2209, and Boeing 737 200 REG AI-73022.
"So, SAR operations will be carried out from land and air to LKP. Therefore, we also still rely on transmitters from the Emergency Tracer Transmitter (ELT) from the PK-SNE aircraft," Syahril said in a statement received on Saturday, March 9, 2024, as reported by Antara.

The deployment of full personnel cannot be separated from the success of finding the alleged wreckage of the PK-SNE Smart Aviation aircraft. In addition, there were also signs of plane victims, Captain M. Yusuf (29) as pilots and Deni S. (35) as engine experts, who are thought to be still alive.
Previously, a report from the Tarakan Basarnas air rescue team on the second day of operation (9/3/2024) afternoon stated that they had found the alleged debris of the cargo plane among the forest trees in the Binuang area.
The coordinate details are 3°43'45.80" N115$56'54.45"E. In addition, ranging smoke was also found around the location, which was allegedly made by the victim as a sign.
Meanwhile, the addition of the defense equipment system was to help the rescue team of the Tarakan Basarnas Office, Anang Busra Tarakan Air Base, Mulawarman Military Command VI, North Kalimantan Police Mobile Brigade, and Tarakan Police in an effort to operate SAR.
In addition, Malinau Police personnel, Kodim 0910 Malinau, Battalion 614 Raja Pandita, BPBD Malinau Regency, Air NaV Tarakan, UPBU Juwata Tarakan, BMKG Tarakan, Smart Aviation, Susi Air, RMPB Malinau Regency, and Satrad 225 Tarakan have also been deployed for searches.
