Hasto PDIP: If You Don't Criticize Cheating, There Will Be 'Simsalabim' Election Results

The Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP), Hasto Kristiyanto, assessed that it was important for all parties to highlight the 2024 General Election which allegedly occurred many frauds.

Criticism must be delivered in order to maintain the democratic party now and the future will not be transformed into winning certain regimes.

This was conveyed by Hasto in response to the request of the coalition party supporting the number one pair, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN), making an agreement regarding the issuance of the right to fraud in the 2024 General Election in the DPR RI.

Initially, he alluded to the constitution and the value of democracy should be the basis of all parties.

"We already have the Pancasila ideology, there is already a constitution, there are already good living institutions about democratic values that should be. That is our agreement," Hasto told reporters in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, Saturday, March 9, 2024.

"So, when everyone is on the rails that awareness of this election is bad and brutal, elections where the country's resources, state instruments are used to give sides to candidate pairs number two, then everything moves," he continued.

Instead of talking about the agreement, Hasto assessed that attitudes related to fraud should be taken immediately.

"If this is not addressed, what will be the next election for," he said.

Furthermore, Hasto mentioned the 1971 election which he called a brutal democratic party because many people were victims. He said, don't let this happen again by criticizing existing fraud.

"If we don't criticize this, later there will be no more elections," he said.

"What is there (later, ed.) simsalabim the election results," concluded Hasto.
