Starting May 2024, Neta Will Produce Its Electric Car In Bekasi
JAKARTA - PT NETA Auto Indonesia (NETA) as the distributor of the Neta electric car in Indonesia, will officially start assembling cars locally or Completely Knocked Down (CKD) in May 2024.
Later, the car assembly will take place at the Bekasi Purple Factory, West Java and will cooperate with PT Handal Indonesia Motor. The first model that will be assembled is Neta V for the initial stage.
This step (vehicle trafficking in the country) answers Neta's commitment to seriously enter the Indonesian automotive market since it debuted at the GIIAS 2023 event.
"After successfully signing an agreement with PT Handal Indonesia Motor in November 2023, now we will finally start assembling Neta V as a commitment to meet the needs of the Indonesian market. In the future, at the PT Handal Indonesia Motor factory, we also plan to produce the latest Neta line-up which we will introduce in the second quarter of 2024," said GR and Product Director Neta Indonesia Fajrul Ilhami in his official statement, Saturday, March 9.
The factory has a capacity of up to 27,000 units per year, and this step is also in line with Neta's global expansion strategy, as well as a commitment to present electric cars with advanced and smart technology for all groups, in accordance with the company's principle, namely Tech For All.
