Before Reporting The GP To The KPK Regarding Gratification, The Chairperson Of The IPW Struggles To Verify Documents And Interview Witnesses
JAKARTA - Chairman of Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) Sugeng Teguh Santoso emphasized that he had verified the documents and asked the witness for information before reporting GP and S to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The report in question is about accepting allegations of gratification and or bribery in the form of cashback from insurance companies.
"We are verifying, meeting the person 8 to 9 interviews," said Teguh on the podcast on the YouTube channel Given up' with the host HMU Kurniadi, Friday, March 8, 2024.
Teguh also responded to the rebuttal of Candidates for President of the Republic of Indonesia Ganjar Pranowo regarding his report to the KPK regarding the receipt of alleged gratification and or bribery in the form of cashback from an insurance company. According to Teguh, he never mentioned Ganjar Pranowo's name. "Right IPW reported it with the initials GP," he explained.
According to him, the one who identified the initials of the GP itself was Ganjar Pranowo. Sugeng said he could be subject to defamation if he mentioned someone's name.
If someone identifies in the IPW connection and the person is named Ganjar Pranowo, it means what his GP calls. Maybe yes. Even though IPW never mentioned who the GP was. I can get defamation. The initials are mentioned. It turned out that he identified as a GP," he said.
Nevertheless, Sugeng said that he included evidence when reporting the initials of the GP to the KPK. Therefore, Sugeng pleaded not guilty when Ganjar Pranowo identified as a GP and recipient of gratuities and/or bribes in the form of cashback from an insurance company.
"It's not my fault. If you deny it's right, it's not my fault. Don't report to me, Mr. GP. You identify yourself, you know," he said.
Furthermore, Sugeng not only reported the GP to the KPK, but also the initials S. S. This is the President Director of Bank Jateng, as a recipient of gratuities and or bribes in the form of cashback from insurance companies.
"This insurance company is why it gives cash back. It turns out that cash back is a thank you, it can be a discounted price, it can be a commission to Bank Jateng which has insured credit given to debtors and debtors to the insurance company. Now, this is if in BUMN or BUMD it is bound by the provisions of the criminal law of corruption. It is not allowed to accept gifts related to his duties unless he reports, it is not a criminal act of corruption," he added.

Sugeng explained that the alleged gratification and/or bribery in the form of cashback from the insurance company S received lasted approximately nine years. The main actor in this gratification is S himself as the President Director of Bank Jateng.
"Brother S is placed by the controlling shareholder, namely the governor. So this person (S) is placed. Imagine serving as President Director from 2014 to 2023 nine years without being replaced," he explained.
According to Sugeng, S is suspected of receiving gratuities from insurance companies reaching 16 percent. From this percentage as much as 5 percent is used for the operational budget of Bank Jateng.
"And the remaining 11 percent according to public information is 5.5 percent given to local government (district) shareholders in Central Java and 5.5 percent is managed by brother S, whose information is submitted in Jogjakarta to a person named GP. controlling shareholder. But, (Ganjar Pranowo) denied it," he said.
On that occasion, Sugeng also mentioned that there were four insurance companies suspected of giving gratuities to the President Director of Bank Jateng to take the initiative of S. Among them are Askrida and Askrindo. This proof of gratification has been submitted by Sugeng to the KPK.
"When I complained there was no evidence referring to the Criminal Procedure Code. The evidence is documents because they can be investigated, can be confirmed, and also about persons as witnesses. We verify, meet people 8 to 9 interviews. So that's the outline," he concluded.
