School Rules During Ramadan In Palangkaraya, Ceremony Removed And Learning Corrested For 10 Minutes

PALANGKARAYA - Palangkaraya City Education Office, Central Kalimantan issued a Circular to eliminate ceremony activities every Monday and reduce 10 minutes of learning activities during the Holy Month of Ramadan 1445.

This is stated in SE Number: 400.3.5/451/Disdik.SMP.01/II/2024 related to the management of teaching and learning activities for school students during Ramadan 1445 Hijri in the area.

The head of the Palangkaraya City Education Office, Jayani, said that the special fasting holiday (LKP) for the beginning of Ramadan began on March 11-16, 2024, while the collective leave holiday was on April 8-15 April 2024.

Teaching and learning activities on March 18-6 April 2024 are regulated starting at 07.30 WIB, eliminating morning apples and activities such as sports are replaced by adding character education strengthening activities or the Pancasila Teaching Profile Strengthening Project.

"Lecture hours are reduced by 10 minutes," Jayani was quoted as saying by ANTARA, Friday, March 8.

For private educational units with religious nuances other than Islam, he said, they can regulate teaching and learning activities in schools in accordance with applicable regulations and report to the local Educational School Development Division.

The local Disdik also appealed to all students and parents to always maintain their health, because the weather in Palangkaraya City in recent days has often rained but is also sometimes hot.

Such weather, he said, could certainly attack the immune system so that it could cause students to get sick.

"I hope parents of students can get used to their children to get used to a healthy lifestyle, with the aim that students avoid disease outbreaks that appear during the current weather," said Jayani.
