The Commotion At The Makmur Bahagia Cafe, South Jakarta, Started When Guests Broke Bottles, The Victim Was Stabbed By Security To Death

Three of the five perpetrators of the beating at the Makmur Bahagia cafe, Kemang, South Jakarta on Wednesday, March 6, have been arrested. Mampang Prapatan Police Chief Kompol David Kanito explained that the three perpetrators, namely SS, BBP and RH, they abused Ahmad Mardianto (26) until he finally died from stab wounds.

David explained that the beating began when the victim, namely Ahmad, was in a state of lack of concentration and then broke a drink bottle inside the cafe. The incident immediately made the host at the cafe reprimand Ahmad.

The victim, as a guest, drank, was drunk with a bottle. The victim was angry, was secured by security and then taken out. MC (the organizer) came out too. At that time there was a beating outside the cafe, "explained David.

David said the stabbing perpetrator was a local cafe security guard, the initials SS.

"SS is strongly suspected of being the main perpetrator of the beating using a sharp weapon, causing the victim to die," he said.

Although only 3 people have been arrested, 2 other people who are suspected of being involved in the incident have been identified and have been named as suspects.

"We have named a suspect based on the evidence that the investigator already has. The suspicion is Article 170 Paragraph 1 3 of the Criminal Code. The maximum penalty is 12 years in prison," he concluded.

The Perpetrator SS Surrendered

Police Commissioner David Kanito said the security SS of the Makmur Bahagia cafe that stabbed Ahmad, had surrendered today, Thursday, March 7. SS was escorted by his family to the Mampang Police.

"He was escorted by his family to the Sector Police," he said.
