DKI Prov Govt Has 26 Percent Of Alcohol Shares In DLTA, Ferdinand Asks Amien Rais To Protest Anies: Don't Keep Blaming Jokowi

JAKARTA - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta apparently owns a company and a beer factory. This is recorded in the company PT. Delta Djakarta Tbk (DLTA).

It is known that the DKI Provincial Government has a stake of up to 26.25 percent. This share has been owned by DKI since 1970 during the era of Governor Ali Sadikin.

For this ownership, former Democrat Ferdinand Hutahaen felt it would be unfair if the criticism was directed at President Jokowi (Jokowi) over Presidential Regulation No. 10 of 2021.

One of the points in the Presidential Regulation, which was signed on February 2, regulates the legalization of liquor (alcohol) in Bali, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), North Sulawesi (Sulut), and Papua.

"Anker BIR has been established in Bekasi with the share of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government by 26 percent. This alcohol factory has contributed to the DKI Regional Budget. What does that mean? The alcohol factory is legal and can be established. Now Jokowi as president has rearranged this sector to make it tidier, but why are the self-righteous sinners so noisy," Ferdinand tweeted, @FerdinandHaean3, Monday, March 1.

This Presidential Regulation on alcohol has indeed attracted criticism from various parties. Apart from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), several figures such as Amien Rais to the Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) M. Cholil Nafis also made the same criticism.

According to Amien, Jokowi's move is at stake for the younger generation. He said, there were still many people who bought liquor before Presidential Regulation 10/2021 was issued.

"Even without being legalized, our situation is already like that. Moreover, this is a trend in society that we should close. Do not let moral destruction occur, by letting our younger generation drinking alcohol," he said.

Amien also asked the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Muhammadiyah, and Nahdlatul Ulama to urge Jokowi to revoke the Presidential Regulation.

In fact, Amien warned Jokowi that his steps were against religious teachings. "Please think again. If anything can recede, it will be great for your soul. If you are reckless, your business is not with us, we are just the people. But you have challenged Allah, against the truth of the holy book of the Koran," said Amien.

Regarding Amien Rais' criticism, Ferdinand asked him to do the same to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government under the leadership of Anies Baswedan. He asked Amien to hold a demonstration at the provincial government.

"When will this old man protest the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government regarding share ownership in the liquor factory? When did this old man ask the Anker BIR alcohol factory to be closed? Let not only Jokowi be blamed, while immoral sins continue to occur around him," he explained.

The government has approved the liquor industry as a positive investment list (DPI) since this year. Previously, the liquor industry was known to fall into the closed business sector category.

The ratification is based on Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 10 of 2021 concerning the Investment Business Field. The regulation which is a derivative rule of Law (UU) Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation has been signed by President Joko Widodo and comes into effect as of February 2, 2021.

However, the approval to invest in this industry constitutes a new investment. This investment can only be made in the Province of Bali, Province of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Province of North Sulawesi, and Province of Papua by paying attention to local culture and wisdom.
