2 Workers Died Of Power In The Malang Kos House Project

Head of Public Relations of Malang City Police Ipda Yudi Risdiyanto said two construction workers were reported to have died from electrocution while working on a boarding house construction project on Jalan Terusan Wonogiri Dam. "Two victims died, the incident occurred at approximately 14.00 WIB. The case is now under investigation," Yudi said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, March 7. Yudi explained that the two victims who died in the incident were Fauzi(31) and Andri(39), both residents of Jember Regency, East Java. While one other victim named Irwanto(27) was injured and hospitalized.

The work accident began when the victims were working as construction workers on a boarding house construction project. In the construction, it used a scene driven by a dynamo to operate. "After resting, the victim Fauzi put a stop to the contact so that the dynamo engine would operate. However, suddenly the victim was electrocuted," he said. Then another victim, Irwanto, who at that time knew that Fauzi was electrocuted immediately grabbed and grabbed the victim's body and was electrocuted. Both fell from the third floor to the ground floor. "While the victim Andri, at that time was on the second floor and saw his colleague being electrocuted on the third floor, accidentally held a steel rope related to the dynamo. The steel rope was electrified and resulted in the victim being stung," he said.

Knowing that a number of workers were electrocuted, Yudi continued, one of the other workers cut off the electricity connected to the dynamo.
