KY Mulai Seleksi Calon Kualitas Hakim Agung-Hakim Ad Hoc HAM Di MA Total 129 Orang

JAKARTA - The Judicial Commission (KY) held a quality selection of candidates for Supreme Court judges and candidates for ad hoc judges on Human Rights (HAM) at the Supreme Court (MA) for two days, namely on March 7-8 in Jakarta. "We believe that you and your mother who have passed the administration and are currently participating in the quality selection certainly already have adequate competence, so that they have the advantage to fill the formation of Supreme Court judges in Indonesia," said KY Chair Amzulian Rifai, quoted from the press release received in Bogor, Thursday 7 March, were confiscated by Antara. When opening an official quality selection, Amzulian revealed that the number of candidates for Supreme Court justices and candidates for ad hoc HAM judges in the Supreme Court in 2024 increased rapidly. According to him, this reflects three things, namely the information from KY on this selection process spread quite widely, increasing interest in registering, and increasing confidence from participants in the selection process organized by KY. This year, quality selection was re-implemented using laptops or laptops and jinjing computers as a work tool. According to him, this is in line with the Supreme Court policy regarding digitization in his work process. He hopes that this quality selection can produce candidates for Supreme Court judges and candidates for ad hoc HAM judges in a quality MA. "It is hoped that this series of feasibility tests carried out by KY can produce candidates for Supreme Court judges and candidates for ad hoc HAM judges in the Supreme Court who are ready to serve and have knowledge, skills, and strong and commendable personal characteristics," he said. Quality selection was attended by 129 candidates for Supreme Court judges consisting of 59 people from the Criminal Chamber, 29 people from the Civil Chamber, 22 people from the Civil Chamber of Religion, 8 people from the State Chamber of Commerce (TUN), and 11 people from the Special Tax Special TUN Chamber, as well as 20 prospective judges ad hoc HAM. From these data, the number of candidates for Supreme Court justices decreased by four people from the results of the initial administration selection result of 133 people.

Secretary General KY Arie Sudihar explained, as many as 3 candidates for Supreme Court justices resigned and 1 person was not present, so that the participants in the selection of candidates for Supreme Court justices became 129 people. The candidates will undergo tests in the form of on-site written works, the study of the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct of Judges (KEPPH), the objective test, and the study of legal cases. In addition, an assessment of the work of the special profession of candidates for Supreme Court justices was also carried out. It is known that KY opens registration for two Supreme Court judges of the Civil Chamber, three Supreme Court judges of the Criminal Chamber, one Supreme Court judge of the TUN (Tata Usahatan Negara), three Supreme Court judges specifically for taxes, as well as three ad hoc HAM judges in the Supreme Court. The requirements and procedures for proposing have been regulated in Announcement Number: 1/PENG/PIM/RH.01.02/01/2024 concerning Acceptance of Proposed Candidates for Supreme Court Justices of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024 and Number: 2/PENG/PIM/RH.04.02/01/2024 concerning Acceptance of Proposal Candidates for ad hoc HAM Judges at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024.
