PALEMBANG - Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Police Chief, South Sumatra, AKBP Imam Zamroni confirmed that three suspects in the premeditated murder of the victim Hairuni (62) were threatened with the death penalty."Three suspects, namely MU (62), RZ (30) and IA (25) who are one family, have been arrested after killing the victim in the rubber plantation in Kedaton Village, Kedaton Peninjauan Raya District (KPR) on Saturday (2/3)," said OKU Police Chief AKBP Imam Zamroni in Baturaja, Antara, Thursday, March 7.Based on evidence and statements from a number of witnesses, it was proven that the suspects had planned a criminal act of murder of the victim who was motivated because of heartache.For their actions, the three suspects were charged with Article 340 in conjunction with Article 338, in conjunction with Article 354 in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code with the threat of the death penalty or life imprisonment and a minimum of 20 years in prison."The three suspects were subject to the same article because they deliberately planned the premeditated murder together," he said.The police chief explained that the motive for the sadistic murder carried out by a family was motivated by the dispute over the yard of the perpetrator and the victim so that the suspects were desperate to kill the middle-aged woman."The perpetrator was looking for the right time to kill the victim while tapping a rubber tree in the garden," he explained.
The victim's body was found dead in a rubber plantation in a pathetic condition with three stab wounds using sharp weapons.In this case, the police secured evidence in the form of a pink carrying bag, two rubber methamphetamine, a sharp machete weapon that was strongly suspected of being used by the perpetrators to kill the victim.
