Mitsubishi All New Triton And Xforce Models Achieve IF Design Award 2024

JAKARTA - Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, (Mitsubishi Motors) announced that its two models received an award from IF DESIGN AWARD 2024 in the Product Design Discipline category.

The two models are Mitsubishi All-New Triton a pick-up truck model weighing one ton, and Mitsubishi Xforce a compact SUV model with a futuristic design.

Identifying an extraordinary design for 70 years, IF DESIGN AWARD is one of the most prestigious design awards in the world organized by the Hannover-based IF International Design Forum GmbH, Germany.

For IF DESIGN AWARD 2024, about 11,000 works that have been sent from 72 countries are assessed by a jury consisting of 132 international design experts based on five criteria ranging from ideas, shapes, functions, differentiations, and impacts.

"We are truly honored to receive one of the world's most prominent design awards for the two new models we launched this fiscal year," said Seiji Watanabe, Division General Manager of Design Mitsubishi Motors, in an official statement, Wednesday, March 6.

Mitsubishi Motors offers a vehicle model that meets a mobility lifestyle that evokes excitement in everyone in the cabin. Manufacturers are committed to providing consumers with reliability and excitement by pursuing the main values of dynamic strength, resilience, and authenticity supported by function, and creating evolution in design over time.

"I'm sure every model is recognized for expressing its character in a unique Triton form showing a bold expression, and Xforce adopts an agile display as well as incorporating resilience, which is a hallmark of Mitsubishi Motors design. This award will be our driving force in introducing Triton and Xforce to more customers," he added.

As is known, Mitsubishi All-New Triton is a pick-up truck with a weight of one ton derived from the Mitsubishi Forte model introduced in 1978. Since then, about 5.7 million units have been produced for five generations and sold in around 150 countries around the world, making it a global strategic Mitsubishi Motors model.

Meanwhile, Mitsubishi Xforce is an SUV compact model that provides convenience and practicality including a spacious cabin and balanced multipurpose storage space in a compact body size that easily maneuvers, and offers road control that allows safe and secure driving in various weather or road conditions.

Based on the design concept of Silky and Solid, the top body expresses a wide softness, while the bottom body adopts a strong and powerful proportion, creating a stylish but sturdy and authentic SUV style. Inside, advanced interiors with cutting-edge nuances are created by integrating 12.3-inch Audio Display Smartphone-links, and a digital driver's appearance into the screen panel.
