The Achievement Of Golkar's Votes Rises In The 2024 Legislative Election, But Fails To Win The Chair Of The East Jakarta Electoral District

JAKARTA - The Golkar Party has garnered a lot of votes in the 2024 Legislative Election or Legislative Election contestation in several regions. However, the party bearing the banyan tree logo again failed to win a seat in the East Jakarta electoral district.

Aljabar's Executive Director Strategic, Arifki Chaniago, assessed that the East Jakarta electoral district was indeed a 'angker' for Golkar. Because, in several legislative elections, Golkar always failed to reveal his representative from the electoral district.

Golkar failed again despite preparing its best cadres such as Dito Ariotedjo, Wanda Hamidah, and Danty Indriastuti Purnamasari Rukmana, Suharto's grandson.

"To win the DPR seat, it is impossible alone. The challenge of the Golkar Party in the East Jakarta electoral district is not only to win the position of the Golkar Party from other parties," Arifki told reporters, Tuesday, March 5.

Referring to the votes obtained by Golkar candidates, the party's political engine in yellow is considered not to work optimally

In fact, Dito Arietedjo as Menpora, is considered alone to be fighting for Golkar seats in the East Jakarta electoral district. Because the votes obtained by other Golkar cadres are also not large

"The role of each legislative political machine is also important. I think the Golkar candidates for the East Java 1 electoral district are the ones who are not going well. In the end, the public only saw that the Golkar candidate was only Dito Arietedjo, because his position was as Menpora," he said.

"However, the minister campaign is likely only Saturday and Sunday, this vacancy is not used by other Golkar candidates to maximize Golkar's votes," continued Arifki.

However, when compared to the 2019 and 2024 Pileg votes, the votes obtained by Golkar increased quite significantly.

In 2019, Golkar received 79 thousand votes. Meanwhile, in the 2024 Legislative Election, there will be 110 thousand votes.

Even Golkar votes in the 4,5, 6 DKI Jakarta DPRD votes also increased. This means that in terms of Golkar's vote in the East Jakarta electoral district, it is better than 2019. However, the battle in the East Jakarta electoral district is also tough, especially the influence of PKS which is still strong.

"In my reading, everything is still temporary, because the process is still ongoing. The results in the future will certainly still change. We will see if Golkar records a new history in the East Jakarta electoral district by delivering its cadres as members of the Indonesian House of Representatives or not," said Arifki.
