Kamrussamad Gerindra Calls The Rights Of Angkot Drivers More Urgent Than Rights
JAKARTA - Member of the DPR from the Gerindra faction, Kamrussamad, assessed that the revolving of the right of inquiry in the DPR to investigate allegations of fraud in the 2024 General Election was not urgent.According to him, it is more important to listen to the aspirations of angkot drivers who demand their rights than to exercise the right of inquiry."Indonesia as the largest democracy in the world has been able to provide constitutional space for the Indonesian people to exercise their rights. Therefore, we in the field must also listen to the aspirations that develop. A very urgent aspiration for them is unemployment, job creation, not the right of inquiry. What they need is the right of angkot drivers," said Kamrussamad in a plenary meeting at the DPR Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 5.According to the member of Commission XI of the DPR, tens of thousands of angkot drivers are not necessarily able to meet their children's needs. Mainly about the future of education."We can see how our society is today, today's work is only for meals tomorrow. Even if they are sick today then tomorrow they will have to debt in a shop. This is an urgent aspiration, namely creating jobs," said Kamrussamad. Therefore, Kamrussamad reminded all members of the DPR not to let the response from parties who are not ready to lose be recorded in history as the worst response during the reforms.
"Why is that, because they have not used the legal instruments that have been used, prepared by law, have accused this election of cheating. This is very dangerous for the continuity of our democracy and our nation in the future," he concluded.
