PKS Interruption Regarding Election Cheating Rights: If Proven Can Be Followed Up
JAKARTA - Member of Commission II of the DPR from the PKS faction, Aus Hidayat Nur, encouraged the issuance of the right of inquiry to investigate allegations of fraud in the 2024 Election. This was conveyed by Aus Hidayat during an interruption in the plenary meeting of the opening of the Trial Period III of 2023-2024 at the Nusantara II Building, Tuesday, March 5. In a plenary meeting chaired by the Deputy Speaker of the DPR Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Aus Hidayat said that he expressed public aspirations for the DPR RI to use the right of inquiry to clarify public suspicion and presumption of problems in organizing the 2024 General Election. "The reason needs to be remembered is that the 2024 election voters are a crucial moment for the Indonesian nation. This democratic event must be maintained in order to be carried out directly honestly free and honestly and fairly," said Aus Hidayat in a plenary meeting at the DPR, Tuesday, March 5. The PKS politician assessed that various public suspicions and presumptions regarding the occurrence of fraud and violations in the implementation of elections need to be responded to by the DPR RI wisely and proportionally.

The reason, he said, is that the right of inquiry is one of the instruments owned by the DPR and is regulated in the Basic Law. Meanwhile, the law, he said, could be used to answer the suspicions and presumptions openly and transparently. "If indeed the suspicion or presumption of society is proven to be followed up in accordance with the law, and if it is not proven, this can clarify and maintain election integrity so that we can respond wisely and proportionally," said Agus Hidayat.
