South Sulawesi Bantaeng KPU Denies PSI's Voice Inflation, Info Pemilu Data Is Wrong
The KPU of Bantaeng Regency, South Sulawesi, has clarified allegations of inflating the vote acquisition of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) which was protested on suspicion of experiencing a significant increase recorded on the Election Info site.
"In fact, what happened was that there was indeed 1,986 party votes (PSI) in the Sirekap data, then the election information amounted to 3,862 votes," said Bantaeng Regency KPU Legal and Supervision Division member Ahmad Makmur in Makassar, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 4.
The alleged inflating of the vote began at TPS 001, Karangtuangg Village, Bantaeng District, whose data is from the Election Info site, reported.
"For example, the case in the news displayed by Karangtuangg Village received 67 but the fact was zero. There have been corrections in stages down, that all details have been witnessed by Bawaslu, witnesses and the media," he said.
"The information circulating is an error, because the database is election information, while the fact is that form D and Sirekap data are true," said Ahmad in a plenary meeting to recapitulate the vote acquisition results for the 2024 General Election at the provincial KPU level at the local hotel.

Ditegaskan data sebenarnya merujuk pada form D hasil tingkat kabupaten.
"So the correct data is 1,896 votes. Not inflating. So, the mistake because the database reported is Election Info. This election info has not updated perfectly," he explained.
Although the Election info site belongs to the KPU, the speed is slow to read the results of Sirekap data, but the data is factually in the D Results form, in fact, only 1,896 votes.
"Earlier, the results of the facts were in accordance with the recapitulation. It has been submitted at the KPU, Bawaslu and the witnesses saw firsthand for the real proof, whether it is true according to the facts on the ground. So I consider the information circulating outside is clear inside," he said.
