Knock! BNI Will Distribute Dividends Of IDR 280.49 Per Share
JAKARTA - The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI (BBNI) approved the distribution of dividends of 50 percent of the net profit for the 2023 financial year. The amount is IDR 10.45 trillion.
"The dividend distribution value rose 42.76 percent from the total dividend for the 2022 financial year which was valued at IDR 7.32 trillion. Thus, the dividend value this time was set at IDR 280.49 per share," said BNI President Director Royke Tumilaar quoting Antara.
Taking into account the composition of government-owned shares of 60 percent, Royke said the company would deposit dividends of IDR 6.27 trillion into the State General Cash account.
He continued, another 50 percent portion of net profit or IDR 10.45 trillion will be used as retained earnings balance for the future development of BNI Group's sustainable business.
"The increase in the dividend payment ratio to 50 percent this year is carried out in line with the company's financial performance which continues to record positive performance with a net profit achievement of IDR 20.9 trillion in 2023," said Royke.
The company's Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) at a healthy level reached 22 percent as of December 2023,
So, according to Royke, the company has the capacity to distribute dividends with a larger ratio and value, while still meeting BNI Group's business and investment needs.

Along with that, the company is committed to implementing ESG principles, such as setting the ESG framework and roadmap for the short, medium and long term, with the operational Net Zero Emission (NZE) target in 2028 and NZE Financing in 2060.
Throughout 2023, BNI posted a net profit of IDR 20.9 trillion, or grew 14.2 percent year on year (yoy) compared to the same period the previous year.
The company's non-interest income continues to provide a positive boost to profitability, with an achievement of IDR 21.47 trillion during 2023 or growing 6.6 percent (yoy).
