Pancasila University Selects 16 Chancellor Candidates
JAKARTA - Pancasila University (UP) conducted a selection of 16 rector candidates for the 2024-2028 period after they registered through the UP rector election committee.
Chairman of the Education Foundation and Trustees of Pancasila University (YPPUP) Siswono Yudohusodo in Jakarta, Saturday, March 2, said that he had appointed the Chancellor Election Committee (PPR) to look for the Chancellor of UP for the 2024-2028 Period.
"The PPR-UP chaired by Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Anis, M. Met. consists of elements of the YPPUP University and Management," he said, as quoted by Antara.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the UP Chancellor Election Committee Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Anis explained that until the schedule for registering the UP rector candidates on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 16.00 WIB, 16 prospective rectors (bacarek) have been arrested.
They have sent initial files in the form of Registration Forms, Candidates for Chancellors of UP for the 2024-2028 Period, Statements of Responsibility and Truth of Documents, Life History Lists, and Personal Descriptions.
Furthermore, the PPR-UP will verify the data on the 16 bacarek. The results of the selection of the Chancellor Election at this early stage are very satisfying, we get 16 potential candidates who have a very good background and are public figures.
The former UI Chancellor said that for the time being we have not announced the names because they are entering the data verification stage, but what we can convey is that there are 8 candidates who have professors and 8 who have functional Doctor positions.

"The background of the readings is quite varied, ranging from academics, police, military, and private sector," said Prof Muhammad Anis who is also the Chairman of the YPPUP Management.
Prof. Muhammad Anis also said that most of the rector candidates came from external Pancasila University and this shows the public's interest and attention as well as figures towards Pancasila University is very large.
"We are grateful to YPPUP for preparing for the Chancellor Election and supported by the committee who have worked hard," said Prof Muhammad Anis.
