Chairman Of The MPR RI Supports Cyber Park Development In Indonesia With Multinational Investment
JAKARTA - The chairman of the MPR RI, Bambang Soesatyo, announced strong support for the development of Cyber Park in Indonesia which will be funded by a number of investors from China, Singapore, Malaysia, and the United States.
This Cyber Park is expected to be the center of the artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing technology industry which is not only focused on business aspects, but also education, human resource development (HR), and tourism.
In a meeting in Jakarta between Bambang Soesatyo and foreign investors on Saturday, March 2, Bamsoet highlighted the great potential for the use of Cyber Park in Indonesia. He mentioned that the World Bank noted that the current population of Indonesia's middle class reached 52 million people (about 20% of the total population), with the potential for growth of up to 115 million people to become middle class. This opens up great opportunities for the tourism industry with an increasing number of consumers.

Investors revealed Cyber Park's plan to be the largest in Southeast Asia with an estimated investment value of trillions of rupiah. This project is expected to create hundreds of thousands of new jobs and attract domestic and international tourists.

Bambang Soesatyo also emphasized that the tourist sector's money circulation target will reach IDR 3,000 trillion by 2024, with the number of tourist trips estimated at 1.25' 1.5 billion people. This shows the great potential for Indonesian tourism.

In the Cyber Park development plan, investors are also committed to implementing sustainability principles. Bambang Soesatyo supports this approach, saying that development must pay attention to social, economic, cultural and environmental aspects.
"Investors from within and outside the country do not need to worry about building various tourist attractions with various attractions, because they will definitely sell," said Bamsoet.
