Budget For Prabowo Free Lunch Program IDR 15,000 Per Children, Enough?
JAKARTA - The Prabowo-Gibran Campaign Promise to present free lunch and milk programs to 82.9 million children throughout Indonesia has begun to enter the trial stage. In fact, it has been discussed in the cabinet of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
It is known that the pilot project for the free lunch and free milk program is applied to four classes at SMPN 2 Curug, Tangerang Regency. Where each class gets a menu that is different from the budget of IDR 15,000 per child.
Head of the National Food Agency Arief Prasetyo Adi said that his party had experience related to this lunch program.
He said the budget issued by the Food Agency was IDR 25,000 per serving.
Therefore, Arief said the budget of IDR 15,000 for one portion must be recalculated. Moreover, the amount of food costs in each region is different.
"It must be calculated. The Food Agency is IDR 25,000 per serving. The Food Agency has worked on it and our program is IDR 25,000. This must be seen at IDR 25,000 in Jakarta, not necessarily IDR 25,000 in Papua. So it depends on the distribution, "say it was found in the South Jakarta area, written Friday, March 1.
Arief also said that the free lunch program for school children really needs to be studied. Arief also said that there was already a prototype running in Sukabumi.
"But if the prototype is in Sukabumi, the activist of this program has his own kitchen and that's very hygienic. For example, before entering there are shoe places, gloves, hygiene. Then stainless table if we want the process, don't let the program actually make people's stomach hurt. Now that's standard, the SPO is being made," he explained.

Furthermore, Arief also said that the food menu provided in this free lunch program must be able to 'force' students to eat it at school. That is, it is not allowed to take it home.
"It must be studied properly. It must be coercive and must eat on the spot. It cannot be taken away, it must be ensured to eat on the spot," he said.
