IPA Sepaku Semoi Progress At IKN Capai 44 Percent, Will Be Completed June 2024
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) reported that the progress of the construction of the Sepaku Water Processing Installation (IPA) in North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan, has reached 44 percent to date.
This was stated by the Director General of Human Settlements Diana Kusumastuti while accompanying the Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono to review the construction of the Sepaku IPA in North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan, on Thursday, February 29.
"Currently, the progress of the IPA Sepaku construction as a whole has reached 44 percent," Diana said as quoted from the official Instagram @kemenpupr, quoted Friday, March 1.
In this first stage, IPA is under construction with a capacity of 300 liters per second taken from the Sepaku River Intake.
The plan is that the IPA will be equipped with a water treatment unit, such as sedimentation, coagulation-floculation and ozone filtration and two parent reservoirs with a capacity of 6,000 cubic meters each.
"Currently, for stage 1, 56 percent has been installed," he said.
The construction of the IPA Sepaku phase 1 was carried out by PT Adhi Karya-PT Brantas Abipraya KSO as the implementing contractor and KSO PT Virama Karya-Areng MP-PT Waseco Tirta as the consultant of the Constitutional Court.
The cost of construction reached IDR 328.18 billion.

Previously, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono targeted the IPA Sepaku Semoi to be operational in June 2024.
He advised that construction work be carried out in detail and quickly by taking into account the quality and accuracy of the design.
"This IPA network is the main source of drinking water for all IKN residents later. So, the construction must be carried out carefully, the supervision must be more intense," Basuki said in a written statement, Friday, January 19.
