Looking At The 2024 Pilkada, The Vice President Asks All Parties To Maintain Democracy Values

Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin appealed to all parties to maintain democratic values in the face of the simultaneous Regional Head Election (Pikada) which is scheduled to take place in November 2024.

"I think so that the Pilkada is carried out properly, democratically, honestly and fairly. Everything went well in accordance with existing regulations," he said after attending a meeting with halal product entrepreneurs in Auckland, New Zealand, Friday, March 1, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to the Vice President, if the Pilkada is carried out according to existing regulations and upholds democratic values, it is hoped that the process will go according to expectations.

"If that happens, I think it will be safe, hopefully. We have many Pillegs, Presidential Elections, Governor Elections, Pilbup, that's actually been several times," he said.

Therefore, with the experience of holding elections that Indonesia has gone through so far, the Vice President hopes that all parties can play an active role in maintaining the safe situation of the democratic party.

"Therefore, the conducive situation that we have done and is good, we must protect it. Don't be then colored by bad things," he said.
