Jokowi Happy Management BPJS Kesehatan Sudah Bagus Dan Tidak Defisit Lagi

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) assessed that currently the management of the Health Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS) is good. According to him, BPJS no longer has a deficit like in 2015-2016.

This was conveyed by Jokowi when he inaugurated the groundbreaking or groundbreaking of the BPJS Kesehatan office at IKN today.

"I remember that in 2015-2016 I had meetings with BPJS many times. The business was that the deficit was not easy when it was resolved. However, I have never had a meeting for how many years and it means that BPJS Kesehatan management is very good," Jokowi said as seen on BPJS Kesehatan's YouTube, Friday, March 1.

Jokowi assessed that changes in BPJS management were very drastic. Because, when conducting a field review, he no longer heard many complaints about BPJS services.

"I also remember that in early 2015-2017, every time I checked the hospital, there were a lot of complaints from BPJS services. The queues were long, the complaints. I got this from the field, right, control. I checked the complaints were still a lot. However, after 2020 I stopped by the hospital and checked the queue at the registration, the change was very drastic and most importantly there was no deficit," he said.

"Pak Dirut kami tidak rapat karena memang sudah tidak ada deficit. Kalau defisit itu, dirutnya masih ingin rapat terus," sambungnya.

Regarding the groundbreaking of the BPJS Health office, Jokowi assessed that this would complement community services not only in IKN, but also throughout the country.

"If yesterday the groundbreaking was a cluster of the financial industry, now BPJS Kesehatan has entered and five hospitals are in the construction process. So, this will complement the services at IKN for public health here and of course throughout the country," he added.
