The Board Of Islamic Boarding Schools Association Asks For The Death Of Santri In Kediri To Be Completely Investigated
The rise of violence in Islamic boarding schools is in the spotlight of many parties. The Islamic Boarding School Development Association (P3M) asked law enforcement officials to thoroughly investigate the violent behavior. In addition, P3M asked for preventive efforts so that the incident would not happen again.
This was said by the Director of P3M, KH Sarmidi Husna in a written statement in response to the death of a student in Kediri due to his senior abuse case.
"P3M encourages law enforcement to thoroughly investigate and give punishment to perpetrators of violence and also the parties responsible for the pesantren," said Sarmidi, in his statement, Thursday, February 29.
In addition, Sarmidi also expressed his deep condolences to the families of the victims. Then P3M encourages preventive efforts so that in the future similar incidents do not happen again.
"Pesantren managers must make serious efforts related to the safety and comfort of students in studying or studying," he explained.
Then, continued Sarmidi, the relevant government must provide serious supervision of Islamic boarding schools in managing their educational institutions and preventing violence.
"In my opinion, violence is a form of injustice where everyone must be prevented from becoming a perpetrator and protected from being a victim," said he.
Previously reported the Kediri City Police, East Java, arrested four students related to the persecution of Balqis Bintang Maulana. The student died at PPTQ Al Hanifiyyah Mojo District, Kediri Regency, East Java. The arrest was made after the police received a report from the victim's family. The police conducted an investigation of the scene of the case and asked for information from a number of witnesses.
The four suspects who are currently being processed are MN (18) from Sidoarjo, MA (18) from Nganjuk Regency, AF (16) from Denpasar Bali, and AK (17) from Surabaya.

The four suspects were charged with Article 80 Paragraph 3 concerning amendments to Law Number 23 of 2022 concerning Child Protection, Article 170 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) concerning the use of violence against people or goods, as well as Article 351 of the Criminal Code concerning repeated crimes that result in death.
