Supporting Economic Inclusiveness, Bank Mandiri Groundbreaking Mandiri Digital Services At IKN
JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri Tbk continues to strengthen its function as a development agent in supporting economic growth. This was reiterated by Bank Mandiri through the groundbreaking of a digital-based office entitled Mandiri Digital Services in the capital city of the archipelago (IKN) which was witnessed directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, along with the ranks of Ministers, Regulators, the Provincial Government of East Kalimantan and the IKN Authority, in Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan Thursday, February 29.
The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, in his remarks also appreciated Bank Mandiri as one of the banks that build offices with the concept of Digital Services that can serve the community. "I am happy that Bank Mandiri will soon start building a special office for Digital Services. Because I know Livin' by Mandiri has 23 million (users), it is very big," said Joko Widodo when giving a speech at the Groundbreaking Mandiri Digital Services event at IKN.
The President added that later this could continue to develop and participate in encouraging the expansion of the digital ecosystem in the country.
"My show will also be that if the digital ecosystem here has been built, it will bring in a digital nomad in our archipelago, this city will be different from other cities in the world," he added.
Meanwhile, Bank Mandiri President Director Darmawan Junaidi said that Bank Mandiri's Digital Services at IKN will be located at the Central Government Core Area Banking Service Center (KIPP), which is a strategic and representative area for state and private institutions. The Bank Mandiri office will be built with a green or environmentally friendly and digital-based concept, in accordance with IKN's vision as a smart and sustainable city.
"We hope that the presence of Independent Digital Services at IKN can make a positive contribution to economic and social development in IKN, especially in the transition process from the current capital so that it can run smoothly and as expected. We are also committed to developing a financial services ecosystem at IKN, together with other state and private institutions that participate in IKN development," said Darmawan.
The plan is to consist of two floors with a building area of approximately 2,000 m2. In design, this building will be in the form of a fluid that symbolizes the alignment of the Mandiri Digital Services building with a very beautiful environment in the capital city of the archipelago. In addition, the design of the Mandiri Digital Services building will carry the concept of sustainability and environmentally friendly, where solar panels will function as one of the sources of energy.
Bank Mandiri also brought three leading digital innovations, namely Super App Livin' by Mandiri, Wholesale Super Platform Kopra by Mandiri and Smart Branch by Mandiri to IKN to facilitate people's financial needs. This is because Livin' by Mandiri, which presents the financial solutions of retail customers, has recorded more than 18,000 transactions per second and Kopra by Mandiri for wholesale customers, is now able to process more than IDR 1,900 trillion transactions per second until the end of 2023.
"This is also an added value for the community, with the presence of Livin' and Kopra by Mandiri, the community and customers can now open Savings, Giro, Deposito accounts, and make non-cash financial transactions for individuals or business entities, anytime and anywhere," he said.
Darmawan also added that Mandiri Digital Services will be built on an area of 1.28 Hektar, this place will be the pioneer of one-stop-final solution at IKN by providing the best service digitally and offline, supported by the presence of Smart Branch by Mandiri, Smart Priority Lounge facilities, Co-working Space to SPKLU for environmentally friendly vehicles to support all community activities at IKN.
Especially for Smart Branch by Mandiri facilities, customers can also use the e-Reservation feature to make visit promises. Bank Mandiri also provides cash management solutions, both pick-up and delivery, in the Mandiri LAJU (Money Pick-up Service) service which is currently easily accessed through Kopra by Mandiri.
"The offline services we provide are not only limited to Mandiri Digital Services, but there are also other extension services that we call Point of Service, which will be spread across several locations in IKN, including currently what we have prepared in the form of our Branch Office in Sepaku and Penajam Paser Utara, Livin' Corner in Construction Workers Residentials (HPK), and Branchless Banking Agents around the IKN area," he added.

Furthermore, in supporting IKN's vision to provide sustainable growth, Bank Mandiri was also present to empower MSME businesses in IKN and surrounding areas by presenting Livin' Merchant as a means of payment and digital bookkeeping. As well as an easier and more digitalized Micro credit application process using the Agent Banking System (ABS).
"In this development process, we are committed to supporting domestic industries in the form of using domestic materials to support the government's plan to increase the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) and use environmentally friendly materials to be in line with the Eight Principles of the State Capital," concluded Darmawan.
For information, previously Bank Mandiri had also signed a memorandum of understanding on banking services and cooperation agreements for issuing Government credit cards with the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) in mid-2023. This collaboration is an effort to facilitate financial transactions, not only for retail communities but for institutions.
The memorandum of understanding signed is the initial basis for the preparation of further cooperation agreements, including Payroll Payment cooperation, Government Credit Card Issuance cooperation, and e-Money Co-branding cooperation as OIKN Employee Identity Cards.
