Preventing Troubled NIKs, DKI Dukcapil Suggests Handling Transfers Or Staying
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Agency (Disdukcapil) suggested two things for residents of the capital, which are currently affected by population planning according to their domicile.
The first suggestion is to take care of his move to prevent a problematic Population Identification Number (NIK).
"(Other choices) Stay in that place (DKI Jakarta)," said DKI Jakarta Dukcapil Secretary Yadi Rusmayadi in an online discussion, Thursday, February 29, which was confiscated by Antara.
He said that DKI residents affected by the structuring of population data according to their domicile or population administration order programs include those who have not been domiciled "de facto" for more than a year in Jakarta.
They are affected by the structuring of population data from related agencies or institutions and mandatory electronic ID cards that do not record for five years from the age of mandatory ID card.
"The population must be domiciled in accordance with the population administration," he added.
However, residents with DKI Identity Cards (KTP) who actually live in the capital city but their NIK status is inactive after checking the DKI residents' NIK status Check page, it is advisable to immediately report to the complaint post in the kelurahan.
"Fill the form, bring a certificate from the RT and RW, later the documents concerned, KTP and KK are submitted to the kelurahan, the kelurahan will be seen in the field," he said.

According to Yadi, currently the orderly arrangement of population administration is still in the proposing stage so that there could be shortcomings such as still entering data on residents who actually live in Jakarta.
"Yang masih (domisi) tetapi terkenal, ya tentu setiap pendataan ada kekurangannya, mungkin satu dua seperti itu," katanya.
The category is that this structuring program is in the proposing process.
"So don't be afraid of Jakarta residents, NIK is still active," he said.
However, if a resident with a NIK is inactive and does not take care of it until the data is proposed to the Ministry of Home Affairs, his data will not be read when accessing public services.
"However, if it is taken care of ahead (before being proposed to the ministry), of course it is our hope that the people of DKI Jakarta are in accordance with their population and domicile documents so that it makes it easier for other public services," he said.
The DKI Jakarta Dukcapil Office has conducted socialization to the entire community with DKI Jakarta ID cards, both outside DKI Jakarta and those living in the DKI Jakarta area regarding the arrangement of population administration regulations since September 2023.
