Anthony Ginting Glad Accompanied By The Minister Of The 2024 Paris Olympics

JAKARTA Anthony Sinisuka Ginting assessed that the presence of a mentor to guide them to get tickets for the 2024 Paris Olympics was a good decision from PBSI.

The Indonesian badminton parent appointed a number of legends to mentor each sector when announcing the complete list of the Ad Hoc Team for the 2024 Paris Olympics on January 8, 2024.

In the men's singles sector, Anthony Ginting, who has a great opportunity to get a ticket to Paris, will be accompanied by the 2004 Athens Olympic gold medalist, Taufik Hidayat.

"I think there was a very good decision. Yesterday there was a session of exchange of thoughts and experiences about their time at the moment when they wanted to go to the Olympics and what the match was like there," he said.

Currently Ginting and his friends who are projected to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics are struggling to get tickets to Paris. They have a fairly tight time to chase places.

Ginting said the presence of these mentors was very crucial for them. He hopes that the existence of mentors can encourage them to appear in the world's most popular multi-events.

"Moreover, there are approximately 150 days. It takes a long time, but not really. It's said a little, not so little. So, there is still time to prepare well," said Ginting.

"So, hopefully with the mentors who are present in this team it can raise more enthusiasm, more motivation. Not only that, of course they have input and evaluation. Yes, hopefully, they can get the best results," he said.

Ginting is the bronze medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. At that time, he lost to Chen Long in the semifinals before rising to beat Guatemalan badminton player Kevin Cordon in the bronze race.
