A West Java Woman Found Dead At Kediri Hotel, Several Wounds Are Found
JAKARTA - A woman with the initials M, a resident of West Java, was found dead in a hotel room in the city of Kediri, East Java, with several injuries to her limbs.
The head of the Kediri Police, Grand Commissioner Adjutant Eko Prasetyo, stated that the finding of the body began with a report from the hotel clerk. Officers found the victim covered in blood and died.
"We received a report from the hotel at around 16.45 Western Indonesia Time, reporting that one of the residents with the initials M was found dead," he said in Kediri, as quoted by Antara, Sunday, February 28.
His party is still processing the crime scene (TKP) in the room where the victim is staying. Several items belonging to the victim, who was around 20 years old, were also examined by officers, including the condition of the body and room.

He said, from the results of an external autopsy that was carried out on the victim's body there was a wound, causing her body to be covered in blood. However, the exact results are still waiting for an autopsy by medics.
"The condition of the corpse from the external post mortem was found covered in blood. There is a wound on the back of the head. The details are waiting for the autopsy results," he said.
The Head of Kediri Police added, the woman was also known to have just entered the hotel on Sunday afternoon, around 13.00 Western Indonesia Time. However, at 16.45 Western Indonesia Time, there was a report from the hotel clerk that the victim had died.
The police also secured a number of evidence, such as suitcases. In the room, there are two suitcases, and is currently still being investigated as to their ownership. It is suspected that one suitcase belonged to the victim and the ownership of one suitcase is still being investigated.
"We asked for the statements of three witnesses, and two suitcases were found," he said.
Meanwhile, the room where the victim was staying was on the second floor of the hotel. Apart from carrying evidence, the police also installed a police line at the location to facilitate investigations.
The victim's body was also brought immediately by a medical officer dressed in complete personal protective equipment (PPE). His body was taken to Bhayangkara Kediri Hospital for autopsy purposes.
Meanwhile, the hotel was reluctant to be confirmed regarding the findings of the body. They argued that the leader was not there.
