The Body Of A 3-year-old Boy Fell From A Motorboat When His Father Fell Asleep Found In Maluku Waters

The joint SAR team found Niksuri's body in the waters of Kur Island with Toyando, Southeast Maluku Regency, Maluku.

The 3-year-old boy was previously reported missing after falling from the Nusantara 106 Belt Motorboat 4 days ago.

"The Tual SAR post initially received a report from the victim's family on Saturday, February 24, at around 24.00 WIT," said Head of the Ambon Basarnas Muhammad Arif Anwar in Ambon, Maluku, Wednesday, February 28, which was confiscated by Antara.

The incident began when the victim and her father departed from Tual City to Teor Island, East Seram Regency.

The father accidentally fell asleep on the right hull of the ship during an unconscious trip his son fell into the sea.

Arif explained that when the report entered the joint SAR team, they were immediately deployed to search for victims. However, the first and second day of SAR operations have not yielded results.

"So the third day of SAR Operation is resumed today," said Arif.

The Joint SAR team consisting of the SAR Post Tual, Bakamla, Polairud Polda Maluku, and elements of the community, since 07.00 WIT, has been deployed again to search for victims.

Using RIB 04, the Joint SAR Team moved to a number of coordinate points according to the Maps SAR to conduct a search.

After three hours of searching for approximately 25 NM, then at 10.20 WIT, the Joint SAR Team received information from the public that the victim was found around Ad Village Beach, Kei Besar, Southeast Maluku Regency in a state of death.

At 11.55 WIT, the Joint SAR Team managed to arrive at the location where the victim was found and evacuate the victim's body to Tual City to be handed over to the family.

With the discovery of the victim, the SAR Ops was officially closed and all elements of the SAR potential were returned to their respective units with thanks.
