Royal Enfield Prepares 450 Roadster Model, Carrying The Same Machine Like The Fouryalayan 450

JAKARTA - Royal Enfield, a motorcycle brand from India, is trying to expand its vehicle by developing a model of a retro-style 450 platform.

The latest motorbike, which will be called Roadster 450, is being tested by manufacturers and caught on surveillance cameras on the streets so that specifications regarding this model begin to be revealed.

Reporting from BikeWale, Wednesday, February 28, this motorbike has a round front light design with a thick fuel tank. Side panels are presented smaller and the tail looks sleek like the Himalayan model.

Meanwhile, the suspension is equipped with a telescopic fork and a regulateable preload monoshock. The 450 roadster will carry 17-inch rims on the front and back with a pattern resembling a 650 minimum plate model.

The manufacturer may also use the same disc brakes as the Himalayan on the front and back supported by the dual-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) standard equipment.

Drivers' positions are equipped with several modern features, such as circular TFT dials taken from the Himalayan. It is possible that this latest motor will get a circular LCD cluster that can connect to Bluetooth.

Speaking of performance, the Royal Enfield Roadster 450 has the potential to have the same engine as the Himalayan 450, which is a single liquid-cooled cylinder that produces up to 37 dk of power and 40 Nm of torque. The manufacturer also changed the condition of the engine and network to offer different performance and driving skills from this bike.

It is likely that this motor will launch in the next few months with a banderol reaching 240,000 rupees (equivalent to Rp45.3 million) and will be rivals to Triumph Speed 400 and KTM 390 Duke.
