Appointed As Acting Governor Of South Sulawesi, Deputy Governor Andi: Innallillahi
MAKASSAR - The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) appointed Deputy Governor of South Sulawesi Andi Sudirman Sulaiman as Acting (Plt) Governor of South Sulawesi. Andi Sudirman became Plt because South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin Abdullah was a corruption suspect.
"Innalillahi wa Inna ilaihi rojiun, of course, this mandate from Allah is a test and each of us will be tested," Andi Sudirman told reporters in Makassar, Sunday, February 28.
"I pray that this mandate will be handed down with Inayah and Taufik from Allah. We hope everyone's support at working is in synergy for the sake of the community at large," he continued.
Responding to the legal case experienced by Governor Nurdin Abdullah, Deputy Governor Andi was empathetic. Deputy Governor Andi wishes him the best.
"We are on behalf of the government and society, and personally empathize with and are concerned about what happened to him. Everyone can be tested, and all of us must remind each other," he said.
"We wish him the best because this is still a process. I and the community always hope for the best because in fact there are still many of our programs and vision and mission that have not been completed with him," he said.
The KPK emphasized that it has strong evidence that the Governor of South Sulawesi Nurdin Abdullah (NA) was involved in corruption by accepting gratuities.
"The suspect denies this is normal and that is the right of the person concerned. We emphasize that the KPK has strong evidence according to the law regarding the alleged criminal act of corruption," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in his statement.
The KPK reminded the suspects and other parties who would later be examined in the investigation process to be cooperative in providing information.
"We hope that the suspects and other parties that will be summoned and examined in this case to be cooperative in explaining the real facts they know in front of investigators," said Ali.
