DKI Targets 77 Thousand New PAM Water Connections During 2024
JAKARTA - BUMD Perumda PAM Jaya targets to add new connections for 77 thousand piping water customers in Jakarta by 2024.
PAM Jaya President Director Arief Nasrudin said that this new connection plan is carried out continuously every year in order to meet the target of one million new connections by 2030.
Where, the DKI Provincial Government has instructed PAM Jaya to provide up to 100 percent clean water services throughout Jakarta. Meanwhile, currently the coverage of PAM Jaya services in the capital is still 65.58 percent.
"Our network expansion target this year is at 77 thousand new connections. This is a number that has never been experienced by a city to connect water. The largest has reached 25 thousand. So, this is three times the number," said Arief at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, February 27.
Arief said that this year's new piping water service connection was carried out in the East Jakarta area. PAM Jaya also accelerated the process of connecting permits to the central government.
"We are chasing time, we eat to catch up on coverage. At least in East Jakarta is finished," said Arief.

"In west Jakarta, it is necessary to speed up the PUPR ministry to move it from its Serpong to immediately get in to take over the water source so that we can get it from there," he explained.
