Golkar Denies The Assumption Of AHY's Appointment As Minister Of 'Division Of Cakes' Jokowi's Power
JAKARTA - The Golkar Party dismissed the assumption that the appointment of the General Chairperson of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) as minister of ATR/BPN was a form of'sharing cakes' to the power of President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) government.
Golkar assessed that AHY's inauguration to replace Hadi Tjahjanto was because the eldest son of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) wanted to dedicate himself to developing the country.
"Yes, not really, it's people working because what has been given to the state and nation," said the chairman of the Golkar Party DPP, Ace Hasan Syadzily at the DPR building, Tuesday, February 27.
Ace also denied that the entry of Democrats in the cabinet was one of the consolidations of the flash of political parties supporting Paslon number 2 as well as the transition of the Prabowo-Gibran government. Ace emphasized that President Jokowi's policy in the cabinet was not related to the affairs of the 2024 presidential election. "I don't think so. I don't think the various policies carried out are actually not related to the presidential election," said the spokesman for TKN Prabowo Gibran.
According to Ace, the situation in the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin cabinet does require professional people who can run institutions optimally. This is to ensure that the government of President Jokowi at the end of his term of office must run effectively.

"For example, because of the vacancy of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Mr. Hadi Tjahjanto will immediately replace it. The position of ATR minister must of course be filled by people who really also not only have skills but also have strong political support," explained Ace.
"And I think the steps taken by President Jokowi by appointing Mr. AHY are certainly enthusiastic because so far, the Democrats in the past year have shown extraordinary loyalty to the government of President Jokowi," continued the chairman of the West Java Golkar DPD.
