Government Disburses IDR 81.3 Billion For 13 Qualification Sports For The 2024 Paris Olympics
The government has officially disbursed funds of Rp. 81.3 billion for 13 sports (sports) participating in the 2024 Paris Olympics qualifiers.
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, announced the amount of funds at a press conference on the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Youth and the Main Organization of the Sports Branch at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Senayan, Monday, February 26, 2024.
"This signing is one clear proof of the Government's commitment to improving sports achievements in the country," Dito said at a press conference.
The sports that received the assistance were the Executive Board of the Indonesian Weightlifting Association (PB PABSI), the Executive Board of the Indonesian Bicycle Sports Association (PB ISSI), the All-Indonesian Gymnastics Association (Persani), the Indonesian Archery Association (Perpani), the Indonesian Volleyball Association (PBVSI), the Executive Board of Taekwondo Indonesia (PB TI).

Furthermore, the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI), the Executive Board of the Indonesian Wave Surfing Association (PB PSOI), the Indonesian Judo Association (PJSI), the Indonesian Athletic Association (PASI), and the Indonesian Aquatic Executive Board (PB AI).
There are still two sports that will also do the same thing in the near future. The two sports in question are the Indonesian Rowing Sports Association (Podsi) and the Indonesian Shooting Association (Perbakin).
Dito said the amount of funds received by each sport was different. This is in accordance with the number of athletes and the preparation period.
"All the numbers we conveyed earlier must have been based on their respective sports needs. So, this is the system of the sports federations submitting to us and we are reviewing it," said Dito.
Indonesia currently has six athletes who have confirmed themselves to the 2024 Paris Olympics. The number of athletes targeted to qualify is 30 people.
At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Indonesia set a target of getting more than two gold medals for the first time in the history of participation.
