Ford Prepares New SUV For Indonesia's Automotive Market, Launches This Year?

JAKARTA - Ford Motors, which is under the auspices of RMA Indonesia, plans to add to the ranks of the latest models in the country, namely presenting the sport utility vehicle (SUV) segment.

This was revealed by Steven Beteng as Director of Sales and Marketing for Indonesian RMA, he said the latest mode (SUV) would be under Ford Everest, which means the dimensions are smaller.

"We will launch the SUV again, but not a big SUV. The car has been launched in several left steering countries, and is currently being produced for the right steering wheel," he said, during the launch of a new dealer in Jakarta, Monday, February 26.

As is known, currently RMA Indonesia, which houses the Ford brand in the country, has marketed three mainstay products such as Everest, Ranger, and Ranger Raptor.

However, he did not elaborate in more detail on what the latest model would enter the country, predicted by the SUV, namely Ford Territory.

Speaking of Ford Territory is actually already in neighboring Thailand, which is marketed by two variants, namely Titanium and Titanium X.

In specifications, this car is equipped with a 1.5L EcoBoost engine. The engine can generate 160 hp of power with a maximum torque of 248 Nm.

The latest model is also not without reason, because the Ford model from RMA Indonesia itself comes from Thailand.

"Currently it is from Thailand, and there is no limit on how many units depend on us," he added.

So, it is worth waiting for the latest SUV from Ford to enliven the Indonesian automotive market.
