MG3 Officially Enters European Market, Offers Combination Of Fuel Performance And Irrit

JAKARTA - Morris Garage (MG), an British automotive brand that is now part of SAIC Motor, introduced the latest generation MG3 in the 2024 Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS). The car offers a combination of performance, efficiency, and style that is more elegant than ever before.

This hatchback-style car will be equipped with Hybrid+ technology developed by manufacturers. It is said that the system is equipped with a larger battery and electric motor.

"It's smoother, but it also brings MG's fun-to-drive philosophy to the market, MG3 is equipped with premium interior features and MG Pilot safety system," said Aiden He, CEO of MG Nordic & Benelux, on the brand's official website, Tuesday, February 27.

Designed by the MG studio in Shanghai, China, the model has a number of modern equipment, including rims, LED headlights, and the latest color palettes. The car has a longer and wider design compared to its predecessor, thus offering a more spacious space to increase flexibility for everyday life.

Moving to the inside, the car is equipped with a 7-inch digital instrument screen and 10.25-inch central infotainment. Satellite navigation is installed as standard, as well as smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

In addition, connectivity systems such as MG iSmart are also presented to provide customers with different conveniences and experiences. Other equipment is a six- speaker audio system with a bluetooth connection of four USB ports, as well as a rear parking sensor.

Just like other models, MG3 is also equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and safety devices through MG Pilots, including Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, and Traffic Jam Assist.

This car is equipped with a 1.5 liter engine measuring 75 kW combined with a Hybrid+ system from a 100 kW electric motor, resulting in a combined 143 kW of power which gives it acceleration from 0 to 100 km/hour in just 8 seconds.

Not only that, MG3 has impressive fuel efficiency with the addition of 1.83 kWh batteries so that it has 4.4 l/100 km of fuel consumption. Meanwhile, this latest car has five different driving modes that are automatically systemed by Hybrid+, namely EV, Series, Series and Charge, Drive and Charge, and Parallel.

In addition, MG3 will for the first time be offered this model to all European regions with three types, namely Standard, Comfort, and Luxury. Customers will be offered seven color options, consisting of Pebble Black, Dover White, Cosmic Silver, Pastel Yellow, Diamond Red, Hampstead Gray, and Como Blue.
