Overdare Partners With Circle For Web3 Wallet Integration And USDC Payments In Metaverse Games
JAKARTA The metaverse-focused company Overdare announced a partnership with USD Coin publisher Circle to integrate Web3 wallets in USDC games and payments for gaming content creators.
On February 26, Circle announced a strategic partnership with Overdare to enable easier crypto payments for game content creators. According to the announcement, Overdare will integrate the Wallets Programmable service of the stablecoin issuer to allow USDC in-game wallets and payments for gaming content creators. This allows content creators to receive stablecoins in exchange for their gaming content.
Overdare is a metaverse game driven by nonfungible tokens (NFT) which is a joint venture between software company Naver Z and video game publisher Krafton, known for its role in releasing popular PUBG: Battlegrounds battle royale games. The project was announced on September 15, 2023, as a Roblox-like mobile game built with Unreal Engine 5.
In addition to wallets, Circle also highlighted that this metaverse game will integrate USDC stablecoins as an alternative way for content creators to complete transactions and generate revenue. Metaverse companies see this as an opportunity to help gaming content creators switch from Web2 platform to Web3 space.
