Bawaslu Jember Receives Report Of Inflated Votes Of Candidates In 6 Villages
JEMBER - The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Jember Regency, East Java, received a report from one of the winning teams for the DPR's legislative candidates (caleg) regarding the alleged inflating of votes in six villages spread across one sub-district.
"We received reports about the alleged inflating of votes in six villages in Sumberbaru District, and we will review the report," said Jember Bawaslu member Devi Aulia Rahim as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 26.
Devi emphasized that Bawaslu immediately followed up on the report by conducting a cross-check to the District Election Committee (PPK) and the General Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslu) of Sumberbaru District.
"We will delegate reports of alleged inflating of votes to Panwaslu, Sumberbaru District, with assistance from Bawaslu Jember so that the resolution is faster," said Devi, who is also the Division for Handling Violations, Data and Information of Bawaslu. -Jember.
The reporting party attached eight bundles of evidence regarding the alleged inflating of the votes of one of the DPR candidates from the Golkar Party.
Devi said all the evidence would be studied, but there is a possibility of recounting votes from villages to sub-districts.
"During the recapitulation period of vote acquisition, we received seven reports of alleged election violations, with details of two having been transferred to the sub-district and completed, then one report was withdrawn by the complainant, one election crime, and three reports reported today," he said.

Meanwhile, Ali Murtadho as the reporter said that inflating votes in Sumberbaru District had occurred in Jamintoro, Rowotengah, Sumberagung, Pusant, Jatiroto, and Kaliglagah villages.
"For example, at TPS 1 Jamintoro Village, legislative A did not get a vote, but after recap in the sub-district, his vote changed to dozens of votes," he said.
He reported that the Voting Committee (PPS), PPK and Panwaslu, Sumberbaru District, which were present during the recapitulation of the sub-district-level vote count to Bawaslu because the alleged inflating of votes was almost 10 thousand votes.
