Bahlil Considers No Need For A Leadership Transition Team
JAKARTA - Minister of Investment and Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Bahlil Lahadalia assessed that there is no need for a transition team in the transitional transition of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) with the next government.
According to him, the presidential candidate who will replace Jokowi carries sustainability.
Based on the results of the interim real count of the General Elections Commission (KPU), the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair temporarily led the most votes in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) contestation.
"But if the current government has a sustainable title, what kind of transition will it be?" Bahlil said in his statement quoted on Monday, February 26.
Bahli justu believes that what is needed is a development team. So, you can continue a good program and fix what is still lacking.
"This is in order to complete the vision and mission and program of Prabowo-Gibran," said Bahlil.
Asked about cabinet fillers, Bahlil said Prabowo's team is also in the current cabinet. But regarding the possibility that there will be no change in the figures of the ministers at this time, he cannot convey this matter.
This is because the appointment of a minister is the prerogative of the president. So, it is impossible to confirm for now.

Previously, Jokowi's cabinet held discussions regarding Prabowo-Gibran's priority program. Including the lunch program.
It is hoped that once ratified in October 2024, the elected president will run the program that has been discussed now.
"We just made a design (but) we are still waiting until the KPU is determined. This is just a design, simulation. The initial stage simulation is okay," said Bahlil.
