Bima Police Name 14 Suspects Of Burning The Election Voice Box
Bima Resort Police Investigators, West Nusa Tenggara, have named 14 suspects in the case of alleged destruction and burning of ballot boxes containing ballots resulting from the 2024 election at a number of polling stations in Parado District.
Head of the Bima Police Satreskrim AKP Masdin said of the 14 suspects, 10 of them were on the wanted list (DPO) by the police.
"So, of the 14 suspects, we have detained four of them, the rest are included in the DPO," said Masdin as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 26.
He mentioned four suspects who are currently undergoing detention at the Bima Police Detention Center, with the initials AB, YN, AF, and M. They all come from the community.
Likewise with 10 DPOs, they are residents from Parado Wane Village and Parado Rato Village.

"So, these suspects do not have legislative candidates and village officials, all ordinary residents," he said.
Regarding the detection results of the existence of 10 DPOs, Masdin ensured that all of them were no longer in Parado District, Bima Regency.
"There is news that they are hiding in mountainous areas," he said.
Masdin said the suspect's case file had been completed and submitted the file to the research prosecutor.
In the case file, he said, the suspects were subject to Article 517 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning elections.
