Mahfud MD: Salah Who Considers The Chaos Of The 2024 Election Can't Be Completed Through Anket, Can Dong
JAKARTA - Candidate for vice president (cawapres) number three, Mahfud MD said there are two official channels to resolve the chaos of the 2024 General Election which is suspected of having fraud. One of them, through the application for the right of inquiry.
This was conveyed by Mahfud MD when discussing online on social media X or Twitter. Through his official account, @mohmahfudmd, Mahfud said the two methods were to file a lawsuit to the Constitutional Court (MK) and through political means.
"At least there are two official channels to resolve the chaos of the 2024 General Election. One, the legal route through the Constitutional Court can cancel the election results as long as there is evidence and the Constitutional Court judges dare," Mahfud wrote on his social media account, Monday, February 26.
"Second, the political path through angket in the DPR cannot cancel the election results but can impose political sanctions on the president, including the impact, depending on the political configuration," he continued.
Mahfud said that he as an election participant who was not from the party could only file a lawsuit at the Constitutional Court. Meanwhile, his partner, Ganjar Pranowo, who is a presidential candidate and PDI-P cadre (PDIP), can move through political channels.
"All members of political parties in the DPR have a legal standing to sue with the right of inquiry. It is wrong that the chaos of this election cannot be resolved through inquiry. It can be done," he said.

Mahfud agrees that the results cannot change the percentage of votes he gets with Ganjar. However, there is nothing wrong with trying to fight election fraud through these two channels.
"Yes, both of them are done whatever the results are. Well, to educate this nation so that in the future it is more obedient to the law and constitution," he concluded.
