Mother In Tulungagung Who Poisoned Her Child To Death While Trying To Commit Suicide Arrested By Police
TULUNGAGUNG - Police officers in the Detective and Criminalization Unit of the Tulungagung Police, East Java detained a young mother who had the heart to kill her own child who was still a toddler by poisoning.

"Brother, as a suspect in the death of a toddler with the initials SC (5) who died in his bed on January 31, 2024," said Tulungagung Police Chief, AKBP Teuku Arsya Gaddafi as reported by ANTARA, Friday, February 23.
YM's determination is based on an investigation conducted by police, which considers SC's death unnatural.
At the beginning of the incident (31/1), the suspect had obscured the cause of death of the victim by admitting that he did not know the cause of death of his only child.
"The suspect did not say that he and the victim had taken drugs and poison," he said.
From the investigation, information was finally obtained if there was a conflict between the suspect and the victim's husband.
This conflict is the entry point for officers to carry out investigations.
"Finally, the incident of inviting his son to commit suicide was revealed," he explained.
YM's reckless action was due to the threat of her husband planning to divorce and bring his baby. Because he did not want to part with his only child, YM committed suicide with SC.
However, YM's life could be saved, while SC was found dead on the bed.

As a result, a psychologist stated that the suspect's mental condition was declared capable of dealing with the ongoing legal process.

Previously, SC (5) a resident of Kepuh Rejo Village, Ngantru District, was found dead in his bed, Thursday (1/2/24), while his mother was in critical condition.
The victim was first known to have died at around 03.30 WIB. in the morning by his grandmother.
The victim's daily life was entrusted to the victim's grandmother. Because both parents work selling fried rice at Ngantru Market.
The victim is usually picked up by his mother at 22.00 WIB to be invited home. The victim's father followed home at around 00.00 WIB.
However, at the time of the incident, the victim's mother complained of illness and was taken to the hospital at around 01.30 WIB in the morning. The victim was then entrusted to his grandmother.
The victim's grandmother went straight to the victim's room and slept with the victim. The victim's grandmother thought the victim was asleep and had time to anticipate the victim's body.
