Malaysia Will Be The First Country In Southeast Asia To Arrive The Jaecoo SUV

JAKARTA - Malaysia will be the first country in Southeast Asia to get Jaecool J7, which will be launched in the first half of 2024.

Quoting from the Paultan page, Friday, February 23, the Jaecool brand will be marketed as a brand that is completely separate from Chery, and at launch followed by the inauguration of 20 dealer networks.

Regarding the specifications, under the J7 hood there is a four-cylindrical gasoline engine with a line of 1.6 liters of turbocharged which produces 194 hp of power, and 290 Nm of torque, paired with a double-coupling transmission of seven speeds.

Speaking of dimension, J7 is 4.500 mm long, 1,865 mm wide, 1,680 mm high, and 2.672 mm wheelbase. That makes it the size of the Toyota Corolla Cross as well as smaller than the Mazda CX-5. In addition, it comes with a 200 mm ground clearance, 600 mm submerged depth.

Although it has not been explained in more detail about the interior, after preview this one's car is equipped with a head-up display, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a temperature adjustable front seat, a double zone temperature controller (with rear ventilation), a powered backdoor, and a panoramic sunset.

Interestingly, there are also 21 intelligent driving functions (or ADAS), including automatic emergency braking (AEB), lane departure warning, adaptive cruising control, and blind spot monitoring, and much more.
