Kejari Finds Indications Of Corruption Procurement Of Grave Land In Lhokseumawe
BANDA ACEH - The Lhokseumawe District Attorney's Office (Kejari) found indications of corruption in land acquisition for Public Cemetery (TPU) in Alue Liem Village, Blang Mangat District, Lhokseumawe City, Aceh.
"The land acquisition was carried out by the Lhokseumawe City Government, with a nominal value of almost Rp. 1.2 billion," said Kajari Lhokseumawe, Lalu Syaifuddin, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 22.
He explained that the land acquisition for public cemeteries of Rp. 1.2 billion was allocated through the 2022 City Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBK).
In that case, the Prosecutor's Office found that there was a price inflated so that it could potentially harm the state's finances of approximately Rp. 500 million.
"The temporary calculation of the value of almost Rp. 1.2 billion, it was found that there was a mark-up price of almost Rp. 500 million rupiah, close to 50 percent," he said.

Then Syaifuddin explained, after the investigation process was carried out, his party also suspected that the price comparison used in calculating the value of the land was fictitious. Until now, the TPU location has only been used for one grave.
"So far, we have examined and asked for information from 10 witnesses," he said.
His party will also investigate related to land equity and the construction of various facilities at the TPU location by examining various agencies.
"It is possible that the amount of state losses will increase in line with the investigation stage. Moreover, in 2022 many land acquisition is found, it is possible that the modus operandi is the same," he said.
