Thomas Doll Wants Persija To Be Full Of Motivation And Doesn't Want To Compete Without Supporters To Be The Reason
JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta will play week 25 of Liga 1 2023/2024 by hosting Madura United at Stadium I Wayan Dipta, Bali. Despite having the status of a home as a traveler, Thomas Doll as a coach has a message for his team.
The match against Madura on February 22, 2024 was actually a home match for Persija. However, the political situation forced them to be evicted to Bali, which is a temporary home.
Although he could not appear at home alone, Thomas Doll did not want it to be a factor that made his team lose spirit. According to him, the team must always be ready to appear anywhere.
"We can play anywhere. We have good motivation even though this is different when compared to playing at our own headquarters," said Thomas Doll in his official statement quoted Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

Meanwhile, the German coach realized that the home match that was held outside Jakarta would make them unable to get direct support from their supporters, The Jakmania. Even so, Doll emphasized that the situation could not be an excuse to relax the spirit.
"I don't want there to be a reason the results are not good because I don't play in Jakarta. I don't want that. We will present the best game. When COVID-19 is also without supporters," he said.
The high spirit was also expressed by Persija Jakarta player, Firza Andika. In order to perform optimally, he said that the team had carried out hard training to host Madura United and was ready to present a winning goal.
"Madura United team is good. They have good tactics, but we have been practicing every day. God willing, tomorrow we will give the best results," he said.
