Israel Overwhelmed To Accommodate Palestinians In Detention Cells
JAKARTA - Israel said it was overwhelmed to find a location to accommodate Palestinians amid the density of detention cells due to widespread arrests in the West Bank and occupied Gaza since October 7.
''It is estimated 888 places of detention will be added to seven prisons over the coming months, utilizing public spaces such as canteens and dining rooms,' Israel's Prison Service reported to Knesset that the Israeli parliament was reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Wednesday, February 21.
The report aims to find a solution following the prison density, according to local newspaper Calcalist.
"About 91 percent of Palestinian prisoners are currently detained in conditions that do not meet the Supreme Court's requirements in providing minimum living space," the media said.

Earlier on Tuesday, February 20, the Israeli organization Doctor for Human Rights, revealed dozens of testimonies about Israeli abuses including beatings, persecution, sexual harassment, and medical neglect of Palestinian prisoners since the start of Israel's war in Gaza.
This reinforces that the severe violence that befell Palestinian prisoners is the same as the definition of torture according to the Convention Against Torture and Treatment or Other Cruel, inhumane or Lowering Human dignity.
