Food Station Supply 15 Million Kilograms Of Premium Rice To More Than 6,000 Modern Retail Outlets In Jabodetabek

JAKARTA - As an effort to assist the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in maintaining supply stability and rice prices, PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya (Food Station), as the DKI Jakarta Food BUMD, supplies premium rice to modern retailers in the Jabodetabek area, Wednesday, February 21.

The release of the inaugural shipment of rice to modern retail is 300 thousand kg, this morning the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono, Head of the BI Representative Office of DKI Jakarta Arlyana Abubakar, President Director of PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya Pamrihadi Wiraryo, General Chairperson of Aprindo Roy N Mandey and Jakarta Provincial Terrace Officer at Rice Plant Food Station located in Cipinang, East Jakarta.

"I think the rice stock on the Food Station is sufficient for the consumption of the Jabodetabek community. I hope consumers make purchases wisely," said Heru at Rice Plant Food Station, Jakarta.

This inaugural shipment will target all modern retail outlets that are experiencing supply vacancies.

"This morning, the release of the first shipment was symbolically 300 thousand kg from 15 million kg of premium rice produced by the Food Station located at the Rice Plant Cipinang, to be distributed to the past 30 points of Distribution Center (DC) and more than 6,000 modern retail outlets in the Jabodetabek area," said the Managing Director of Food Station Pamrihadi Wiraryo in his official statement.

According to him, the distribution is carried out through the Distribution Center (DC), 204 direct companies to supermarkets and 8 wholesales spread across the Greater Jakarta area, where each DC is able to cover 500 modern retail outlets, so that all DC will be able to supply 5,000 to 6,000 stores of modern retail outlets.

The rice distributed is premium rice which has been packaged in the form of five kilograms of packaging and will be sold in modern retail outlets at a price according to the Highest Retail Price, a maximum of Rp. 13,900 per kilo.

"The delivery of rice to modern retail today is part of 4K's strategy in controlling inflation, namely: Supply Availability after today's delivery, rice stocks in modern retail outlets are available to the public. Affordability of Prices Rice prices can be purchased according to HET, Smooth Distribution Rice is available evenly throughout modern retail areas of Jabodetabek, and Effective Communications. - through symbolic activities to release initial shipments to provide information to the public that rice in modern retail is available," he explained.

It is hoped that the delivery of premium rice to a number of modern retailers can reduce price fluctuations that are currently happening in the market.

"Moreover, in parallel, Bulog is also massive in pouring SPHP rice into traditional markets. This will help ease the burden on people who will face the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr," said Pamrihadi.

Chairman of the Indonesian Retail Entrepreneurs Association (Aprindo) Roy Nicholas Mandey appealed to the public not to panic buying.

"We urge for normal shopping, reasonable shopping, because rice is available, because the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has only distributed 15 million kg of premium rice to all modern retailers in Jabodetabek from the Cipinang Rice Main Market", he said at the Cipinang Rice Main Market, Pulogadung, East Jakarta.

He assured the public not to worry about running out of premium rice stock. As of today, all premium rice is ready to be purchased by the public at an affordable price. The price is IDR 13,900 per kilogram according to the highest retail price (HET) for premium rice or IDR 69,500 per package of 5 kg.

"Today it was immediately (sold). It can be bought directly by the public because the goods are ready," he concluded.
