Twitch Updates Subscription Plan Prices For The First Time
JAKARTA Twitch, a platform for streamers, announced that it will raise subscription prices for the first time. This price increase will take effect on March 28.
Through its official website, Twitch says that this price increase is applied to help streamers. By increasing subscription prices, the streamer will get the same share of proceeds so that revenue increases.
Many markets have experienced price declines in 2021. This year we are updating prices in several countries to help streamer revenues offset rising costs and reflecting local currency fluctuations," Twitch said on Tuesday, February 20.
This price increase will be implemented in four countries, namely Australia, Canada, Britain, and Turkey. For the first three countries, Twitch will update the price of subscription packages Level 1 and subscription package prices for awards.

Meanwhile, specifically for Turkey, Twitch will update prices in three subscription packages at once. The cheapest package price will be 43.90 Turkish lira (Rp22 thousand) and the most expensive package price will be 215.90 Turkish lira (Rp109 thousand).
This price change only applies to purchases on websites as prices in mobile apps will be updated in the coming months. If Twitch users want to avoid price increases, they can subscribe via app on mobile phones.
Twitch will change the price of the package gradually. The company says that subscription package prices in other countries will be added in the near future. Although the time has not been announced, all price increases will be made this year.
