Ammunition Supplier To KKB Leader Egianus Kogoya Arrested During Voice Recapitulation Meeting In Mimika

The Cartenz Peace Task Force arrested Epson Nirigi, a subordinate of one of the leaders of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), Egianus Kogoya, Tuesday, February 20. The arrests were made when the suspect attended a vote recapitulation meeting in Mimika, Papua.

"The arrests were made at the Lavela In Hotel, Kalimutu Street, Mimika City, while the person concerned was attending a voice recapitulation meeting in Jita District, Mimika Regency, Central Papua," said Head of Damai Cartens Ops, Kombes Faizal Ramadhani in his statement, Wednesday, February 21.

The arrest of Epson Nirigi began when there was a report about the whereabouts of the KKB member at the Lavela In Hotel.

The Damai Cartenz Ops Task Force for the Mimika region immediately arrested and took the person concerned to the Cartenz-2024 Damai Ops Command Post in Mimika for further investigation.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Public Relations Task Force for the Damai Cartenz Ops, AKBP Bayu Suseno Epson Nirigi, is known to be a fugitive since 2023. He had supplied ammunition and weapons to the KKB Kodap III Ndugama led by Egianus Kogoya.

"During the arrest, the Task Force managed to confiscate a number of evidences, including 1 waist bag, 116 thousand cash, 1 oppo charger, 1 match, 2 notes, 1 flash drive," he said.

"1 BRI bank ATM card, 1 ID card, 1 BPJS card, 1 Visitor card for the Kuala Papua Indonesia Foundation, 1 SIM C, right photo, 1 motorbike registration certificate, 1 wallet, and 1 post card", continued Bayu.

For now, the Damai Cartenz Ops team is still investigating Epson Nirigi. The goal is to know the purpose of his involvement in the recapitulation meeting.
