OIKN Opens Voice About IKN Population Restricted By Only Two Million People
The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) has opened its voice regarding the planned population in IKN which will be limited to only 2 million people.
Deputy for Funding and Investment at OIKN Agung Wicaksono ensured that population growth in IKN would not be limited to only two (2) million people.
Agung revealed that IKN is basically designed as an inclusive city. So, in its development, the government will not limit the growth of the population in it.
"Maybe it's not limited, but it's a projected population growth of up to 2045, which is about two million people. So, it's not to be limited but to project population growth," Agung said in Jakarta, quoted on Tuesday, February 20.
He also ensured that IKN was not just a city for ASN and government. However, at first the IKN population would be massive from the displaced ASN.

One of the real commitments of the government to make IKN an inclusive city is to carry out the revitalization process of State Elementary School 20 Sepaku which is also intended for the local community.
In addition, Agung also emphasized that as many as two million populations are not small numbers. Thus, his party denied that the population in IKN is said to be limited and exclusive.
"And (population) of two million is not small. (The number) of two million is (the same as the population) of Bekasi, you know. I used to live and have an office in Bekasi as well. So, the potential is very large. Nusantara (IKN)," he added.
